Chartered in 1928, the Binghamton Sertoma Club was the first Sertoma Club in New York State. Since then,
the Binghamton Sertoma Club has contributed to the growth of Sertoma
by founding four other clubs in this geographic area: Binghamton Breakfast,
Endicott, Afton and Ithaca. At the 1985 International Convention, membership
for women was approved and the Binghamton Sertoma Club was the first
club in New York State to admit a woman member.
